10.29.20 - Indoor Protocols for the Winter Season



Please review MDH's current list of symptoms of Covid-19 below. If your player is displaying any of these symptoms, do NOT have them attend their session. Use the Team Snap Health Check as a simple process.

Symptoms of COVID-19 can include fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, headache, muscle pain, sore throat, fatigue, congestion, or loss of taste or smell. Other less common symptoms include gastrointestinal symptoms like nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea.

Please review the Minnesota Dept. of Health's Covid-19 Decision Tree. This graphic provides guidance if your player or family member experiences symptoms consistent with Covid-19. This is comprehensive and clear guidance for knowing when to stay home and when to report.


If your player or someone who lives with your player tests positive for Covid-19, you MUST report this case to Tonka United. Please email Bobbi Hoebelheinrich bobbi@tonkaunited.org to report or get answers to any COVID questions you may have. Please do so before reporting to your coach or manager. All personal information is held in confidence.


  • Players will be dropped off at the designated entrance no earlier than 5 minutes prior to their training start time.

  • Players MUST wear masks as they enter the building.

  • Players must keep their masks on until they begin active training.

  • Players will be assigned an area to place their soccer bag/coat/water bottle/etc.


  • Players will be unmasked while engaged in play. Coaches and other club/team officials will ALWAYS be masked.


  • Players will be masked as they depart.

  • Players must leave the facility immediately so the next group can enter.

  • Parents must pick-up promptly


  • There will be NO SPECTATORS allowed at training/practices & most games. Coaches and Managers will be the only ones allowed. IF limited spectators are allowed at certain facilities for games, each opponent will update the specific team. In order to maintain capacity limits, this policy will be strictly enforced.


FAST Athletics operates out of a 15,000 square foot facility with 25-foot ceilings, which allows for good airflow and spacing. However, FAST is not the only tenant using the space. There are also approximately 30 other athletes and spectators in the facility at any given time. When weather permits, large garage doors will be kept open allowing for even better airflow.

At FAST Athletics we are taking precautions to allow athletes to train safely:

  • Players will be designated into pods and stay withing those pods throughout the training season

  • Players will wear masks at all times unless otherwise instructed by the trainer because they will often be within 6 feet of the other pod members

  • Players must enter and exit the facility with masks on

  • FAST groups will be separated and not interact with other groups or athletes using the facility

  • All equipment used will be thoroughly cleaned in between each group

  • Only equipment that is easy to clean will be used

  • We have sanitizing stations and athletes will be encouraged to wash frequently

Other reminders:

  • Please complete “My Health Check” in team snap before each session
  • Eat healthy and get good sleep to keep your immune system at its peak

  • No spitting, cover your mouth if you must cough or sneeze, avoid touching your face

  • Wash/sanitize your hands before and after each session

  • Please keep your water bottles and anything you will need during your workout right by your station so there is no grouping up to get drinks

  • I would truly love to give high-fives, knuckles, hugs, or elbow bumps to each and every athlete--please know that--but for now let’s try and get by with some “air” high fives and knuckle bumps.
