Tonka Fusion Elite Return to Play Protocol

8.16.20 - Read more about Tonka Fusion Elite Return to Competition Protocols for this fall season.

This guidance is applicable to programs authorized to operate by Executive Order 20-56. Please understand that strategies may change if the community transmission increases to the point of where programming must be disrupted. Tonka United & Fusion Soccer Club believe player, coach, staff & spectator safety and health is of utmost importance and will follow all guidelines from our federal, state & local governing and health bodies as well as our soccer governing bodies. We will use the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and CDC guidelines as our main compass.

As each phase changes, the protocols will adjust in adherence with the State of Minnesota Department of Health and our soccer governing bodies. In order for a player to be on the field, they and their parent must read through and follow these protocols. There are no exceptions. Any player/parent/coach/staff not following these protocols will be removed from play.

Players & Parents:

Parents are to ensure that their player is not ill or displaying symptoms prior to each practice/game. Please use https://mn.gov/covid19/for- minnesotans/if-sick/is-it-covid/ as your guide. (Fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue, loss of taste or smell, red or swollen toes are current symptoms of COVID-19). If a player has a temperature of 100.4 or more, they may not attend training or games.

Parents are to report potential COVID exposures of the player. This information will be held confidential as to the name of the player and family. The confirmed information will be used for contact tracing and to notify the families of the team and training group. The Tonka United COVID contact is Bobbi Hoebelheinrich. Please email the Tonka Fusion Elite COVID Coordinator, Bobbi Hoebelheinrich at bobbi@tonkaunited.org if your player or member of the immediate household has been exposed and or tested positive for COVID 19. If your player has symptoms or has come into contact with someone who has tested positive, please keep player away from training & games for 14 days and watch for symptoms. Player may return once they have tested negative or the 14-day quarantine period has ended without symptoms. If your player has tested positive, they must remain away from play for a minimum 10 days and Tonka Fusion Elite will notify the Minnesota Department of Health for contact tracing. As guidelines to quarantine change, Tonka Fusion Elite will adjust and always use the current MDH guide.
